Skin Cancer Levels Rocket

There's been a big rise in cancer cases linked to people's lifestyles, according to Cancer Research UK.

The most dangerous skin cancer, melanoma, is up 40% over 10 years. It's up 43 per cent in a decade.

Cheap flights abroad are being blamed as sun worshippers ignore warnings about the danger.

Drink, smoking and obesity-related cancers are also rising and that's being blamed on our life styles too.

2 Arrested After Inquest

Two men are being questioned this afternoon in connection with the murder of Manchester schoolboy, Jessie James.

The arrests were made after a new witness came forward yesterday at the inquest into the shooting of the 15-year-old last year.

The suspects, a 21-year-old from Old Trafford and a 20-year-old man from Hulme, were both already being held in prison for unrelated offences.

Barton in the Dock

Newcastle midfielder Joey Barton's pleaded not guilty to assaulting a team-mate.

He's denied attacking Ousmane Dabo in a training ground bust-up in May, when he was a Manchester City player.

The twenty-four-year-old's been released on bail but must re-appear at court on the 4th October.

Lily Allen held at LA customs for unknown reasons

Lilly Allen's management have confirmed that Allen was held at LA customs for a few hours for an undisclosed reason, sparking reports that her US visa was cancelled.

Allen is going to the States to work with Common and Kanye West, and she has an US tour planned for September.

However, Allen's manager, Neale Easterby of Empire Management denies that there were any problems with her entry into America.

He told Billboard: "It's rubbish. There's no story; it's all good. She's in Las Vegas right now, and she will be there until Thursday shooting a video with Common and Kanye West.
She''l go back in September for her own US West Coast dates. It's all going to be sorted out".

Calvin Harris and Kylie Minogue hooks up

The latest rumours that Calvin Harris and Kylie Minogue were dating are nothing more than just rumours says Harris in an interview with Gigwise.

They were only working on some recent studio collaborations but he said he didn't mind the gossip: "I cherish those reports. It's bizarre and very funny. The extent that I wrote a few
tracks for her is a big deal for me anyway".

The singer has recently been branded "a hate figure for
parents", by The Times following Harris' new single, 'Merrymaking At My Place', that is presently being promoted by a campaign for synchronised national house parties.

Busta Rhymes busted yet again

Busta Rhymes is facing litigation. This time from alleged victim Roberto LeBron, who claims that Busta and his bodyguards kicked him in the head during a music festival on Randalls Island last year.

The hip hop star is already awaiting sentence on a criminal case relating to the same row and, and also on separate charges of drink driving, driving whilst suspended and attacking a former
employee.

Ice Cube in New Zealand fight

As the date for rapper Ice Cube's gig at the Telstra Pacific Centre in Auckland, approaches, the former NWA-type has got a New Zealand-based mayoral candidate a bit wound up.

Mayoral hopeful Len Brown said: "Ice Cube brings a gangsta message to our community via his gangsta rap. This message promoted gangs, gang violence and drugs. We don't want this in our homes. We don't want it on our streets".
