Calls For Pages to be Axed

Facebook says it won't axe pages on it's site that promote eating disorders.

It along with others is in the spotlight for hosting pro-anorexia and pro-bulimia groups that give you some tips on how to starve yourself.

Eating disorders' charities warn it's dangerous and stop people who are ill from getting help.

The sites hit back though saying loads of groups on there talk about touchy topics and that's not enough reason to take them down.

Man Knifed as he Tried to Help

Police in South Wales have revealed they're supporting the family of a man stabbed to death in the States.

37-year-old Paul Ritch was working in New Jersey when he stepped in to help after an incident. He was then knifed in the chest.

Paul who's from Cardiff thought he could help after a street robbery, and was rushed to hospital. Doctors say he couldn't be saved because he'd lost too much blood.

Rooney Is Out!

It's been confirmed that Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney will be out of action for two months.

The 21 year-old fractured his foot on the opening day of the season against Reading.

That means he'll miss England's Euro 2008 qualifiers against Israel and Russia.

Mel B married too quickly

The mother of Mel B has said that her daughter made a mistake by marrying movie producer Stephen Belafonte.

The Spice Girl married in a secret ceemony on June 6 in Las Vegas, but did not tell the press or her mum Andrea about the wedding.

Andrea claims that Mel B was treated badly by ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy, who is the father of her daughter Angel Iris, and claims the singers vulnerbility is the reason she married so quickly.

"I was with Mel for a month before Angel was born and stayed with her for two months afterwards. She was so lonely, at rock bottom," Andrea told the Sunday Mirror.
"She had post-natal depression and was vulnerable. All that with Eddie Murphy really knocked her for six, but you can't discuss it with her. She just can't deal with it. She's trying to block it out."

"I think she's made a big mistake," Andrea continued. "How can you fall in love that quick? I'm desperate to speak to her. I feel like jumping on a plane and flying out to her, I'm so worried. I've read that he's got a conviction for assaulting his ex girlfriend and it really worries me."

Amy Winehouse is getting better with the support of her dad

Amy Winehouse is getting better after her collapse last week according to her dad.

"Amy's going to be fine," says cabbie Mitch. "She knows she's been through a terrible ordeal and is now on the mend. We have been encouraged, after the initial scare, that she is now getting better and going to be all right."

Copying her own words on one of her songs, the 'Rehab' singer says that her dad's support very important to her.

"When I get self-destructive, I just need to spend time with my dad," she says. "Rehab is a cop-out."

Although Winehouse's dad might be her solid support, but he was himself in a bit of a quarrel with the stepdad of the soul princess's husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

The two families met up at a Hampshire hotel for crisis talks, but it soon turned into mayhem. "Blake's stepdad started abusing Amy, saying some really nasty things," says a family source. "Mitch just flipped, got up, grabbed him by the throat and wouldn't let go."

Kate Nash's debut album top charts

Singer-songwriter Kate Nash's debut album "Made of Bricks", went straight in at number one in the album charts on Sunday, the Official UK Charts Company said.

The Harrow-based songstress signed a major label deal in March and her second single, Foundations, entered the charts at number two.

It ranked fourth place in the singles charts on Sunday.

Swedish pop singer Robyn's dance track "With Every Heartbeat", -featuring Kleerup, climbed four places to take the top spot, in the singles chart.

The only new entry was Kanye West in at three with "Stronger".

Timbaland's collaboration with U.S. singer Keri Hilson and New York rapper D.O.E., "The Way I Are", dropped one place to two.
