Nine illegal immigrants have vanished after Cambridgshire Police put them on a train to a detention centre 80 miles away - unaccompanied!

The Afghans were given tickets to get them from Cambridge to Croydon.

The county's police are now speaking with immigration department to work out whose idea it was to let the men travel on their own.
