Ugly Betty's won the Outstanding Comedy Series trophy at the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation Media Awards for the second year in a row.

Hit show Brothers and Sisters also scooped the Best Drama Series for a second time at the ceremony in LA.

Meanwhile Janet Jackson was awarded for her efforts in fighting discrimination.
