Grand Theft Auto Four has gone on sale in the UK - some stores opened at midnight last night so that people could buy it.
It's one of the most eagerly awaited computer game in years, and the people who make it expect it to break all kinds of records for sales.
Lots of people think the game is bad, because you have to do some violent things to pass missions and complete the game.
But other people say we watch violent films - so they don't see the difference.
GTA 4 has an 18 certificate, which means only adults can buy it.

Violent video games are never the cause of actual street violence and other forms of violence. The only ones influenced to commit crime through video games and other media are the really messed up characters who use such media influences as excuses and/or they are really messed up and would have committed crime anyway. Hence why this game is only intended for 18's and above.
Anyway enough with the rant, this game is absolutely brilliant. The game of the year for sure!
