Dig deep if you hit the rails!

If you travel by train - bad news.

It looks like ticket prices are going to go up again in the new year.

It's all a bit complicated but basically train companies base their annual increases for fares on something called the retail price index for July, and then add 1%.

So based on next month's RPI, it means we could see see a 5.5% rise in ticket prices in January 2009.

Amy Winehouse is back on form, but still causing controversy.

She appeared to lash out at a fan at the end of her Glastonbury set over the weekend.

She's being treated for early signs of emphysema and might have to return to hospital this week.

The Police say the person Amy allegedly hit hasn't complained so the matter won't go any further.

There's something in the air (guitar)

Housemates spent the day speculating over the possibility of a new housemate - Dennis was removed on Friday, and Sylvia got the boot, so the numbers are down now... and when Big Brother gathered everyone together in the living room, the majority assumed someone new would be walking in...

There was no new housemate.
For no particular reason, Big Brother simply wanted to see the housemates air-guitar, and played loud rock music into the house for that very reason...

See no evil

After a fairly stressful few days in the house, Big Brother decided to give housemates a task on Sunday to take their minds off arguing for a few hours - working in pairs, each housemates was blindfolded for three hours, giving them the chance to experience the house as Mikey does.

Mikey obviously needed a different role, and was in charge of assgining pairs, and assisting the group as a whole.

These were the pairings Mikey chose: Becky & Mario, Kathreya & Mohamed, Jennifer & Rex, Rachel & Dale, Stuart & Lisa and Luke & Darnell - some of those were not the most comfortable pairings, but thankfully everyone steered clear of any more 'Dennis' incidents...!

Housemates passed the task, so the mood was lifted further - it's an argument-free zone! (For now)
