Movie star outbid...for movie role!

Hugh Grant's apparently been seen bidding for an acting role at a charity auction.

The Notting Hill star apparently put in a £32,000 bid at a London fundraiser for two walk-in roles in a new comedy 'Lost For Words'.

But he didn't get the part - it seems he was out-bid by a wealthy competitor who coughed up &36,000 for it.
