Desperate haircuts

Eva Longoria has been explaining the reason behind her new haircut.

The actress got the chop as her character Gabrielle in Desperate Housewives has short hair.

The star's hairdresser apparently made her husband Tony Parker take the first snip though so that she couldn't get mad at him.

Sentencing for benefit fraud

Kerry Katona's mum's in trouble.

She's going to be sentenced today for claiming income support and council tax benefit when she shouldn't have.

Susan Katona didn't tell the Benefits Office about a change in her circumstances.

It was alleged the overpayment was made because Mrs Katona didn't inform them about some money she earnt from doing interviews about her daughter.

She was meant to be sentenced last month but it was delayed because her solicitor claimed she had a fear of open spaces.

UK premiere of new Batman movie

The wait is almost over for Batman fans...the Dark Knight opens in cinemas across the UK on Friday.

The film has been out in America since last Friday - and it's breaking lots of records.

It's had the year's biggest opening weekend - bringing in nearly £78million.

Christian Bale's the caped crusader again - with The Joker played by the late Heath Ledger.

Christian will be in London's Leicester Square tonight for the UK premiere.

Bad boy Blake sentenced

Amy Winehouse's husband's is going to be sentenced today for conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and GBH.

Blake Fielder-Civil's admitted that he helped to beat up a pub landlord, James King with his friend.

Blake then got some other people to offer Mr King £200,000 to try and retract the statement he had given to the police.

But then the middlemen also tried to sell the story to the Daily Mirror.

Amy Winehouse is expected to be at London's Snaresbrook Crown Court later to see her husband sentenced.

Getting tougher on jobless

If you claim unemployment benefit, expect some changes soon...

Drug addicts who refuse treatment while they are on benefits could be sent to prison.

Anyone unemployed for more than a year will have to do community work in exchange for any money.

It's all part of the biggest shake-up of the welfare system for almost 70 years.

It's estimated that 2 million people are currently cheating the system.

Nobody should have the right to a life on benefits if you're capable of doing a job according to Gordon Brown.

Rule-breaking bars

Bars and clubs around Britain aren't doing enough to tackle binge drinking....and some of them are deliberatley ignoring rules.

That's according to a leaked report which the Government commissioned.

If things don't change, the Government could put an end to things like happy hours and other promotions.

(Nearly) All change in Heaven & Hell

Dale became the new HoH at the weekend, and his first task was to select who'd be living in Heaven & Hell for the week... so who's where?

Following Saturday's 'Bananagate' incidents, Big Brother forbid Dale from selecting Kat, Mo or Darnell from living in luxury - they were automatically sent to hell, and he had to select five of the remaining housemates to join him in heaven... they are: Stuart, Maysoon, Luke, Rex... and following a bit of suspense, Bex.

This means along with Kat, Mo & Darnell, Rachel will be in hell for the first time, and Lisa, Mikey & Sara remain there for a second week!

Housemates in hell got straight to cleaning the house, but although Mikey & Lisa sounded off about not being picked, there were other arguments happening - namely Dale & Darnell sounding off about each other, but then Dale & Mohamed had a massive barney... over a toothbrush!
