Price rises for gas guzzlers

Aswell as petrol prices soaring, it looks like car tax is going to get more expensive soon too.

Nine million of us are going to have to pay more according to the Government.

Basically the old 7 band system is changing to 13 bands - there will be more categories of vehicle.

Owners of the greenest, cleanest cars will have the cheapest car tax, gaz guzzlers, 4x4's and new car owners will have to pay a premium.

The Transport Minister has already admitted that half of us could have to pay up to £245 pounds a year more to keep our car on the road.
