Def Jam boss dies

The man who took over from Jay-Z as the head of Hip Hop record label Def Jam, Shakir Stewart was found dead over the weekend.

It seems he might have committed suicide.

According to the local Police in Atlanta, Stewart was found in his bathroom.

He died from what they are calling a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Def Jam bosses say he hadn't been himself in recent weeks.

Stewart signed the likes of Beyonce and Ciara before he worked at Def Jam.
