Mikey's been a firm favourite with the bookies since day 1, and remains that way with just a few hours to go...
Rachel's odds may not be as good as they were a few days ago, but she's still second fave...
Rex has climbed to third favourite with the bookies, clambering over Sara, who's now fourth favourite, and Darnell looks like the only housemate not in with a shot of winning the hundred grand (as far as those pesky bookmakers are concerned, anyway)...
Housemates were given a special 'last supper' on Thursday night, and it was time to reflect on their time in the Big Brother house.
It was a bit sickly - here's what Darnell had to say... "I came in here feeling lonely, with nothing, and I'm leaving with a whole lot of things dude. I definitely feel like I'm where I belong now, know what I'm saying?"
And Rex: "I feel like certain people in the House I've got to know actually better than any of my friends on the outside," he revealed. "I think that's the most amazing experience."
"I could honestly sit here and say that I consider everyone at this table a friend," he concluded, before turning to Michael, who he's clashed with the most. "I would consider you a friend, Mikey." (Pass the bucket)
He wasn't in quite such a loving mood later though, as Big Brother didn't provide the vast quantities of alcohol he was after..!
After scratching his eye a bit too ferociously, Darnell visited the diary room on Thursday afternoon to see an optometrist, and came out looking like a pirate - turns out he's scratched his eyeball!
Not the best time to be wearing an eye-patch, 24 hours before the final - he should be able to take it off in time for his exit...
Big Brother set housemates a task on Wednesday - The Rap Battle!
Everyone had to write and perform a rap (Darnell kinda has the advantage here, being a rapper), and if Big Brother was happy with what's done, housemates would get to select an episode of this year's show to watch!
Darnell was first up - "House full of cookie love, House full of Baddy Bees, When one gotta go, it's sad to see." - obviously, his was the most professional, but Big Brother was happy with all performances (Mikey's breakdancing surely helped)
Housemates were given a choice of three different BB episodes to watch - ep1 (where housemates entered), ep7 (electric shock task), ep55 (cops & robbers task) - After a vote, it was decided that ep55 made the most sense, as it was the only episode of the three that Sara was actually in!
Will watching a highlights show back change their attitude/behaviour in the run-up to the final tomorrow night? We'll wait and see...
So how did the housemates take the news of Mohamed and Kathreya getting the boot?
Most were shocked - some were teary - Darnell went for a world record attempt... the most swear words in the space of a few minutes...
He was so mad with Big Brother for evicting them during the cross-dressing task that not even a hamper of food and stack of booze could make up for it... "I didn't want to ******* do the task, 'cause I thought it was ********!"
Those ************* got ******* evicted like that. Kiss my ass! ************. I cannot believe this ****."
"I cannot believe this ****, honestly. And ******* Big Brother ain't gonna be able to throw a ******* song on, and give us some ******* booze to ******* sway me. ********!"
You'd never think he now had a one in five chance of winning £100,000, would you?
It's a 'surprise' eviction tonight, with the two housemates currently polling the lowest number of votes to win heading out the door - it's almost certain that it'll be Mo & Kat, but who knows - it's never a shock to get a shock in Big Brother... if that makes sense!
And if rumours are to be believed, the housemates will be kicked out in the middle of a 'cross-dressing' party... it's on at 8 & 10pm tonight.
Rex was made head chef on Monday for a cooking masterclass - he had to put the others into pairs, and then teach fellow housemates how to cook Steak Béarnaise, Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans, followed by Blueberry Soufflé... they'd be given the ingredients, but not the recipe...
It was down to Rex to choose the winning pair once the meals had all been cooked - and he chose Mo & Sara as Masterchefs, even calling their food 'outstanding'!
They picked up some pretty trophies as a reward...
Sunday. Day of rest. Not the case in the BB house - all day, as Kat & Sara had been the only two remaining housemates never to be Head of House, they'd been waiting on the former HoH'ers... and at the end of it all, went to chat to Big Brother in the diary room.
However, when they came back, the boys jokingly suggested that they'd had to vote one of them out - but Kat wasn't in the mood for jokes, and went off in a huff.
"I'm very, very sad Darnell," she sighed - "Oh my god, get over yourself," said Darnell. "You know damn well we don't want you to go dude."
Well that started it - Darnell went off on one of his usual rants, threatening to leave the house!
After a while, he was called to the diary room to cool off - and ended up spending a good hour or so in there, while the others debated over whether he'd actually left or not.
Of course he hadn't left - and when he came back, he told Rex that he'd cooled off... with a few days to go, it's not the best time to be losing your rag, Darnell!!
Let's be honest, it was gonna be a pretty hectic final night with seven of them to come out - even six would mean each interview with Davina would only last a few seconds, so on Tuesday, two of them will get the boot...
Will it be original favourite Kat? Latecomer Sara? Greedy Mo? It's likely to be two of them, and we'll find out on Tuesday night when a vote count is taken!
Meanwhile, bookies have Michael as the current favourite to win next Friday, with Rachel just behind...
Mikey's been looking for a fight with Rex for days now, and on Thursday lunchtime, he gave it another go - "You don't realise you're a control freak and bullying everybody" shouted Mikey, and although Rex left the room, he soon came back - "I'd prefer it if you didn't talk to me or mention my name, if that's how you're going on..."
Mikey went on to call Rex selfish and materialistic, asking "Why do you think I've nominated you six times, Rex?"...
"I don't mean to be horrible." Rex said, "You're calling me selfish - I cook dinner for everyone every night, and you never say thank you. Maybe you forget, but that's not an action of someone who's selfish."
It wasn't long before they (kind of) cleared the air - remembering that there's only a week to go, and both are after those vital public votes...!
Meanwhile...
It took a few hours, but Darnell and Sara have finally made-up - by the end of Thursday night, Sara was giving Darnell relationship advice... something he possibly needs, going by his recent actions...
Just in time - Sara's the bookies favourite to ge tthe chop tonight over Lisa, but only just!
Housemates were speculating all day as to what would happen on Wednesday night - the majority thought perhaps Lisa & Mario would get hitched in the back garden, but a few also considered the possibility of someone going in a surprise eviction. Turns out they were all wrong!
Big Brother gathered housemates in the living area, and gave them all pens and card - they then each had to write down their final two nominations, and show them to the group when everyone had finished writing theirs down.
With the most noms, Lisa & Sara will be facing eviction this Friday - but that wasn't it...
Nominees Lisa & Sara were then called to the task room...
Ever seen 'Goldenballs'? BB producers clearly have - Lisa & Sara were given £50,000 - they then had to decide (in secret) whether they'd be willing to 'take' the money, or 'share' it, by holding up a gold bar with the corresponding choice written on it.
(Replace 'share' with 'split' and 'take' with 'steal' and you've got an exact replica of the Goldenballs final game!)
If they both chose 'share', they'd get £25,000 each - if one of them chose 'take', that person would win the whole fifty grand, and the other housemate would get nothing. If they both chose 'take', they'd both get nothing... it wasn't a hard decision...
Being the generaous souls that they are, both Lisa & Sara chose to share the cash, so they pick up £25,000 each!
It's not part of the winning fund (£100,000), so whoever survives eviction on Friday still has a shot at the grand prize next week...
For the second part of this week's 'Las Vegas' themed shopping task, on Wednesday afternoon, housemates were given the £280 luxury budget they'd already earnt on Tuesday - in coins! And there was a catch...
If they wanted to keep the luxury budget, they had to gamble the lot away on slot machines within two hours. Anything they won had to go straight back in - if they had any money left at the end of the allocated time, they'd fail this week's shopping task.
All £280 was gone within the two hours, so housemates thought it was an easy pass - however, one of the rules of the task stated that you couldn't insert the next coin into the machine until the slot wheels had finished spinning from the previous game.
Mo seemingly forgot about this rule, and therefore failed the task for everyone, leaving a basic budget for the final week!
It wasn't a great day for Head of House Mohamed - later, Big Brother gave him the chance to redeem himself, by laying on a Las Vegas-style buffet in the diary room. If he managed to eat the lot, housemates would have been treated to a Las Vegas party... he didn't.
It's a live show with Davina tonight, and that can only mean one thing - live nominations!
The regular highlights from yesterday are at 9pm, and then at 11.05pm, Davina will get each of the housemates to nominate face-to-face - the two nominated will not only go head to head for this week's eviction, but will also play a game of jeopardy - the winner picking up £50,000!
Whoever wins the fifty grand will still be eligible to win the entire series next week, providing the public don't boot them out... Mo is the only safe housemate, as he's HoH...
It's all about Vegas for this week's shopping task, with housemates being set a series of challenges based around the entertainment capital of the world...
For day 1 of this week's shopping task, housemates completed their challenges in fine style - Kat & Sara were illusionist and glamourous assistant - Kathreya actually appeared to cut Sara into three pieces! (She's fine, in case you were wondering)
Lisa & Rachel completed a series of card tricks, Rex & Mo performed an escapology routine, and then to wrap it all off, Darnell & Mikey wowed the audience with a show-stopping rendition of Elton John & Kiki Dee's 'Don't Go Breaking My Heart'... camper than a row of tents...
Big Brother was impressed, and passed housemates first day of the Vegas challenge... they're one step closer to a final week of luxuries...
He was a favourite to get the boot this week, but Mo's made it to the final week of Big Brother by becoming this week's Head of House!
Instead of the usual weekly HoH task, housemates simply nominated the person who they thought deserved it - everyone was eligible - Mo got four votes, Kat picked up three, Darnell and Lisa got two each, and Rex, Sara & Mikey got one vote each.
Later today, Mario will return to the house to spring a surprise on Lisa - he's gonna propose to her live on the telly! Yuck.
Anyway, housemates are blissfully unaware of this, and Big Brother has decided to send in some presents throughout the day - Rex was first up, picking up a bottle of vintage champagne.
Kat will be given cookies, Rachel will have grapes, Darnell will get an mp3 player for an hour, Mikey is to pick up a giant bar of chocolate, Mo will have pizza, and Sara will receive a bag full of make-up.
But Lisa's in for the biggest treat - a wedding proposal from this fella...
No Head of House challenge on Saturday, but there was still time for a task - welcome to the Grande Fratello Italian Restaurant!
Housemates were given just two hours to finish a giant bowl of overcooked spaghetti in tomato sauce... they weren't at all optimistic - but gave it a good go anyway...
Obviously, it led to chaos - with Darnell covering himself in the spaghetti, and Kathreya throwing most of hers up... then Darnell joined her in the vomiting club - Big Brother said that puking is not digesting, so that's a fail...
What is it with this year's housemates and their obsession with cheap cider?
It all kicked off again on Thursday night when the shopping arrived - Mo was first in, and took four cans of cider for himself.
Head of House Rex told him that just the nominated girls (Sara, Nicole & Lisa) were allowed to drink, and he should give them the cans. He wouldn't, Nicole exploded at him, and all hell broke loose.
Not long afterwards, Mohamed and Sara were chatting about the cider in the garden, when Darnell stormed over and let rip at Sara!
She had a cry in the diary room, and then let it all out for Lisa in the bedroom - while Darnell continued to stomp around the house like a caveman.
It seems like ages since the housemates didn't pass their weekly shopping task, and it'll seem like even longer now, as they've only gone and blimming well passed again!
For the 'Thriller' task, housemates had to recreate the classic Michael Jackson video, and with Rex in charge, and Nicole taking on Jacko's role, they completed the challenge in full costume on Wednesday afternoon...
Big Brother was happy with the final performance, and has given the house a luxury budget of £5 per person, per day, for the next week...
Couple of breaking stories from Tuesday, which will no doubt plague tonight's highlights show - first up, Nicole and Rex had a barny!
Then 'Rex's Girlfriend' decided she was going to leave whatever happens this week... get on with it then!
And in other big news from Tuesday, Mikey went to the diary room to have a good old moan about Rex and Nicole!
Shock!
You don't like them - we get it..!!!
This week's shopping task got underway on Tuesday - housemates will become zombies and recreate Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' video!
As Head of House, Rex won't be dancing - he'll be the main choreographer - and he had to choose somebody to take Jacko's role... who do you think that was? (Then again, the house isn't exactly crying out with dancers at the mo!)
So Nicole will be Michael Jackson, and the rest have to be backup zombies from the video - do a good enough job, and Big Brother will give housemates a luxury budget next week.
Rex is immune this week as HoH, but somehow Rachel and Mo have managed to escape being nominated - it's Lisa, Nicole & Sara who'll be putting on their best frocks this Friday... but does that mean it's a double eviction? Wait and see...
After eating Mikey's bogey (see full story below), Mohamed was clearly up for more challenges, and Rex decided a game of 'Cider Roulette' was called for.
Mo and Darnell were the 'contestants', and the other housemates each had a mug with mystery contents in - well, mystery to Mo and Darnell, who were blindfolded.
Some of the surprises included raw egg, chilli, vinegar and olive oil. Nice!
Each took it in turns to select a mug - one of which (Kat's) was predetermined as the winning mug - whoever drank the contents of that one won the cider.
Incredibly, Mo and Darnell managed to down everything - although Darnell did have to down a second mug of mayonnaise and chilli sauce, after he threw the first one up!!
Darnell was the eventual winner, blagging one can of cheap cider for his troubles...
This is grim - the things Mo will do for cider reached new levels on Monday evening when Darnell dared him to eat somebody else's bogey in return for a can of cider!
Step up, Mikey - king of the bogeys...
Unbelievably, Mohamed accepted the challenge, and ate the green monster in one - washed down with the cider he'd just 'won'!
Everyone screamed, understandably.
Except Kat. She was busy being sick in the toilet...
It had been a pretty good day - she'd won the earlier task (see below), and Big Brother had given housemates a few cans of cider and lager, plus everyone had enjoyed a few party games... but that's not enough for 'princess' Nicole...
Chatting with Kat in the garden late on Sunday night, Nicole explained that she was fed up of simply being known as 'Rex's Girlfriend'... yawn...
For this week's Head of House competition, housemates had to keep still. For as long as possible... this meant no eating for Mo, no singing for Kat, and no drooling all over your girlfriend for Rex!
Housemates painted each other to look like statues, and then simply had to strike a pose.
And keep it striked.
One by one, the housemates dropped out of the running, until we were left with just Rex and Mo battling it out to take control for the week.
But Mo moved slightly and got disqualified, leaving Rex this week's winner - he'll be immune from next week's nominations, and in charge of the house all week...
On Wednesday night, Mo & Kat had a conversation about nominations using a not-so-secret code, so on Thursday afternoon, Big Brother sent them to the slammer. Not the first time for Mo, but it's a whole new experience for Kat!
Kat took it pretty well - Big Brother doesn't let them out until they've spent the night, but Kat was still pretty cheerful about it all... Mo, on the other hand, was in a miserable mood all day, and even refused his evening meal from Rachel!
What?!? Mohamed refusing food?!?
Meanwhile, back inside, the rest of the housemates had some air guitar fun to 'Bohemian Rhapsody'.
During the record (which is about three hours long), Rachel & Mikey went outside to sing along to Mo & Kat... Mo was asleep (or at least pretended to be asleep!)...
It was a busy Wednesday in the house, with the continuation of the Big Brother Games 2008 - events included 'Slow Running', 'The Throwing Feather' and Rex and Kat took part in the 'Floating-On-Water-With-A-Small-Tropical-Island-Attached-To-Your-Groin' event.
Meanwhile, Mikey had earlier had to predict the results of all events to Big Brother - he was then left in a room while the events took place.
Turns out he correctly predicted the results for three of the races, and that was enough to win housemates a luxury budget for next week!
This week's shopping task is underway, and to celebrate the start of the Olympics, Big Brother has it's own 'games' for the housemates!
Much to the annoyance of most, HoH Mikey has been given a megaphone - as if he wasn't loud enough - to instruct the housemates throughout their challenges this week.
There are several different events to compete in, including press ups, star jumps, sit ups, circuit training and swimming - there's even a special running track in the garden.
They even had to choreograph and perfect their own opening ceromony to the Big Brother Games 2008 - which they did!
Keep it up, and a luxury budget is on the cards for next week...
Ever since Nicole entered the house, her and Rex have been mostly snapping at each other - sexual frustration, no? Now the divide's gone they can lap up each other's company as much as they want, no?
Just as the lovebirds were getting cosy in bed late on Monday night, Big Brother decided to call Rex to the diary room. Not for any particular reason, of course...
There's a new divide emerging in the BB house now that Mikey is in control - those who like the 'water wake-ups' and those who don't!
Mo was the first to take a splashing, but others have been caught since, and although Darnell and Stuart are with Mikey on his way of getting sleeping housemates up, others aren't so happy... Rex, Nicole and Kat have all shown their disapproval - but that's probably just gonna encourage him to do it even more...
If you'd seen any of the live feed on Sunday, you're probably confused as to why the Mitchell Brothers have moved in... alright, a much weedier Phil & Grant anyway,,,
Don't worry - it's just Mikey & Darnell!
Big Brother created a special 'barber shop' in the task room - HoH Mikey had to nominate someone to become barber for the day, and fill a jar with housemates hair in order to win a special reward. It was up to housemates how much hair they had cut off...
Lisa was the barber.
Once Mikey & Darnell's hair was in the jar, it was pretty much full, and as a reward, Big Brother gave the housemates fancy-dress wigs, alcohol & music for the evening - Sara and Nicole looked like they enjoyed it, anyway...
Take a look at the two cakes above.
The one on the left was prepared by housemates in heaven, and it a replica of St. Paul's Cathedral.
And on the right is the housemates from hell effort - the Millennium Dome.
Outgoing head of house Rachel had to decide which was best. She chose the dome. Odd.
Anyway, it meant the housemates from hell had to pick one of them to be the new HoH. Mikey decided it should be him. So it is - Mikey's the new HoH!
Housemates also all had to switch sides for the night... but it won't be long until the divide is gone, and everyone can be reuinited again...
Head of House Rachel was in charge of the shopping list this week, and unlike Rex last week, didn't spend it all on 'ever changing special prize tokens' - she did however get Mo, Kat & Nicole their suitcases back for £60...
She didn't completely boycott the tokens though - Rex bagged some dry cleaning, and Rachel herself ended up with messages from home on the video screen... her mum, dad, boyfriend and dog all had something to say...
Good news for the housemates - both tasks this week were passed with flying colours! Not a single fail in the group means it's a luxury budget next week...
For a laugh (or perhaps unitentionally), Big Brother played in the sounds of a baying crowd whilst revealing the results to the house - putting housemates in a miserable mood, assuming there'd be an eviction. There wasn't!
Get the feeling BB's got a bit stale since Luke was evicted and Nicole ('my girlfreind') was put into the house? Hopefully this week's shopping task will bring some laughs...
Heavenly housmates will learn to perform a theatrical sequence in the style of Bunraku - Japanese puppetry performed by puppeteers dressed in black, who 'invisibly' manipulate objects and people while standing against a black background...
The housemates from Hell, on the other hand (and shoved up a sock), must perform a hand puppet show over a period of approximately 24 hours.
So even though they're in hell, Kat, Mikey & Nicole get the better part of the task this week - and suddenly everyone wants to 'go to hell'... see if they pass on Thursday!
Nominations are officially announced later, but lookie - we already know!
It's Dale vs Stu this week... Dale is the bookies favourite to get the boot...
Ah, Monday. Nominations day. And once again this week, housemates from hell had to pass a task in order to earn the right to nominate... the task?
Sprout eating!
There were 300 sprouts given to the three housemates in hell (Mikey, Kat & Nicole), and Big Brother reckoned it'd take them about three hours to scoff them all back. This was at midday.
At 8pm, Mikey was still insisting he'd make it.
He didn't, and just before 9pm he threw the towel in - Nicole & Kat had already given up, so for the first time since the divide went up, the housemates from hell will not be nominating this week...
Housemates were given letters from home on Sunday - well, the housemates in heaven were anyway...
Head of House Rachel was given a difficult decision to make - she could sacrifce her own letter (from her mum) in order for the housemates living in hell (Kat, Mikey & Nicole) to get their letters... which of course she did - this is Rachel we're talking about!
For this week's Head of Household competition, housemates were each called to the diary room on Saturday, and asked to recite the alphabet. Backwards.
Big Brother didn't tell them if they'd made a mistake until they were finished, and if they had, they had to start from the beginning.
The fastest (eligible) housemate would become HoH, and the slowest three housemates would spend the week in hell, while the rest would all move to heaven...
The results came in, and for the first time, it's a female head of house - Rachel!
Darnell actually completed the task in the fastest time, but as he's already had a week in charge, he's not eligible to become HoH again, so second fastest, and new Head of House is Rachel...
The slowest three were Mikey, Nicole and Kat - they'll be living on the hell side this week...
Rumours are rife that should Rex survive tonight's eviction, his girlfriend will enter the house as a new permanent housemate! Check back later for details...
As Stuart lost his role as HoH earlier this week, it meant somebody else needed to step up for the shopping list... and that somebody was Rex.
Surely a trained chef can make the most of the £1 per person, per day budget?
After a few essentials (Tea, coffee, milk, sugar, and one pack of custard creams) were selected, Rex decided to do something a bit unusual... spend the entire remainder of the budget on 57 of Big Brother's ever changing special prize tokens.
Now in past weeks, the tokens have provided fake boobs, inflatables for the pool and 'get out of jail free' cards. So what did they end up with...?
A framed photograph of suspect number six in this week's identity parade - in other words, the girl who WAS'NT Rex's girlfriend, a pram, a panto horse, blow-up globe, and a freezer!
But in the freezer.... ice-cream? Veg? Ready meals? Nope, just a lamb carcass....
Housemates gathered round to hear the results of this week's shopping task on Wednesday evening - not that it made a great deal of difference, because only Dale's secret task actually counted towards getting a luxury budget...
Firstly, the cops (Mo, Rex, Stu & Mikey) were called to the diary room and had to give the two names of the robbers they think stole the token on Tuesday night. They correctly guessed Dale & Maysoon, unintentionally losing the entire house their budget for the week!
The other tasks this week were all failed - apart from the cops stakeout task - and when Big Brother revealed that it all depended on Dale & Maysoon getting away with their 'robbery', housemates looked less than impressed...
You know how Rex keeps banging on about his girlfriend? Well last night, she visited the house! Sadly for Rex, he didn't even know about it...
As part of this week's shopping task, Rex's girlfriend Nicole and Mohamed's brother Nas took part in a line-up in the task room, and Lisa & Luke had to identify them from sight alone.
They won't find out how they did until the results of the whole shopping task are revealed, but I can tell you they correctly identified Mo's brother (well, Lisa did - Luke is unable to do anything when it comes to tasks!), but not Rex's girlfriend...
Meanwhile, when Rex found out that Nicole had been in the house, he was over the moon - just a bit gutted he didn't get to see her...
This year in the house, there's a jail - housemates are sent there when they break the rules.
But even that's not deterring them from talking about nominations, so Big Brother got tough with the housemates on Tuesday afternoon, stripping Stuart of his Head of Household crown after he was one of those involved in (a very bad) nominations-talk-code.
Housemates were apparantly talking about football teams being knocked out, but it was clear to everyone that they meant certain housemates.
For example, 'Wigan' was Luke and 'Arsenal' was Darnell...
But that's not all - following Monday's nominations, it should be Dale & Luke facing the boot this week, but the rule-breakers have also been put up by Big Brother!
So facing the axe this Friday - Dale, Darnell, Kathreya, Luke, Maysoon, Mohamed, Rachael, Rex and Stuart - a total of NINE housemates!
This week's shopping task has been given to housemates by Big Brother - if they want to stay on a luxury budget, they'll need to pass this over the next couple of days...
Housemates from heaven have become cops, and those in hell are robbers - a series of challenges will be set, including a stake-out for the cops - two housemates will have to stay in the cop car at all times.
Robbers will have a selection of challenges, including The Counterfeiters Challenge, The Safe-Crackers Challenge, and The Identity Parade Challenge - in order to pass the shopping task, as usual, housemates will only be allowed a certain number of fails throughout the task...
Housemates from heaven saw the profile videos on Sunday night, and 24 hours on, Darnell's still mad about Dale's...
After a restless day, he let his frustrations with Dale out: "That s*** makes me mad. Who the f*** do you think you are to say that you hate kids, that you would stab anyone in the back for £100,000, and you don't like mouthy, ugly people?"
Somebody who wanted to get on Big Brother, perhaps?
While the heavenly housemates were sweating it out in the nominations pod talking about who should get the boot this week, the housemates from hell once again had to earn the right to nominate - by seperating 14,000 sprinkles of hundreds and thousands into SIX seperate colours!
Housemates from heaven were given pizza, beers and some videos to watch on Sunday night... nice?
Not really. The vids were of the other housemates audition tapes!
Stuart, Rex, Mo & Mikey were surprised at some of the things they saw...
The two audition tapes that angered them the most were Rachel (who was acting more like Bex on her tape than Rachel!) and Dale (who looked like a knob in his tape, basically).
Dale was lost for words when the boys confronted him about it...
On Saturday, housemates were given chilli's to eat - the four who ate the most would live in heaven for the next week, leaving the rest to slum it on the hell side of the house.
Stuart ate the most, giving him the HoH accolade, and he's joined by Mikey, Mohamed and Rex (who's the only housemate not to have lived in hell now).
Big congrats to Rachel & Luke - neither managed a single chilli!
On Sunday, it was time for a Big Brother first - the luxury jail in the garden became the BB 'Nominations Pod'... housemates in heaven were able to go in (2 at a time) and discuss their nominations! Both past and present nominations were allowed to be discussed...
The four boys were planning on voting together tactically, but it took a hell of a long time sweating it out with each other in the pod to come up with two housemates to nominate this week they'd all agree on... it looks likely Dale, Darnell, Luke & Kat could all be in the firing line from heaven this week...
When Luke entered the house, he thought he knew exactly what would happen (he's watched every previous series) - but he was soooo wrong! After Bex was evicted on Friday night, the poor lad was gutted. But then he started moaning about others...
Luke was criticising Kat in particular for singing her 'Happy House' song as Rebecca was about to leave, and couldn't understand why the public would vote out somebody so entertaining, but Rex stepped in and put him in his place, simply saying - "Rebecca wasn't liked" - then he warned him not to slag others in the house off, or "you'll pi** me off, Luke".
During a game of the party classic 'pass the orange' on Thursday night, things got a bit heated when, after dropping the fruit, Mo had to take a forfeit... without hesitation, Bex piped up: "You've got to snog me!"
Once everyone got their breath back from the shock, they went at it. Big time.
And guess who was a little gutted...?
Even though there's 'nothing between them', as they insist on pointing out every five minutes (between tounge sessions under the covers), Luke was far from pleased at the forfeit!
But one good thing did come out of it - during a heart to heart in the bedroom after 'said incident', they both finally admitted to having feelings for one another... aaahhhh!
Better make the most of it - Bex is red-hot fave to get the chop later!
The luxury shopping arrived on Thursday afternoon, and amongst it all was one of Big Brother's ever-changing special prizes, which Mohamed nabbed.
It was for a trip to heaven - whoever had it was able to visit the heavenly side for the night... he was gonna cash it in, when Rex pointed out that he could give it to someone else if he wanted...
So, after a bit of deliberation, Mo decided not to use it himself, but to give it to Sara, who's never actually been to heaven. Aww, bless.
She was even given a camcorder to film her 'experience' as a tourist...
Dale was with Bex and Luke in the luxury bedroom on Wednesday night, checking out his pictures of Jen from the old days in the BB house, and telling them how much he missed her.
So much so, that he really wants to be up for eviction now - who needs to win when you've got Jen? (Which he probably hasn't)
Meanwhile, Bex and Luke had better get ready for just one more night of smooching - she's hot favourite with the bookies to get the boot this week...
The results of this week's shopping task are in...
First up was the Human Clock Challenge - housemates were required to form a human clock and work out how much time had passed over the course of an hour. They overran by 12 minutes and 5 seconds, and therefore failed this part of the task.
Next, were the reults for the Archaeological Dig part of the task - this was failed too. As housemates were only allowed to fail two sections of this week's task, they had to pass everything else... but did they?
The Clock Building Challenge completed by Stuart and Maysoon was a pass, as was the Giant Sand Timer - so it all came down to the final part of the shopping task...
Housemates from hell had to deactivate alarms in the task room whenever they sounded within 45 seconds - they passed!!
This means it's a luxury budget for housemates next week - plus Big Brother treated everyone to a party! Although there was of course a divide between heaven and hell...
Housemates living in luxury were treated to a gourmet feast, and MP3 players for a silent disco - those living on hell were not so lucky, with naff snacks and dodgy cassette players that regularly malfunctioned... they still enjoyed themselves...
There are a selection of tasks revolving around time for this week's shopping task... lookie:
Human Clock
All housemates (except HoH) have to form a human clock, and try to keep track of time - they must be within two-and-a-half minutes of correctly guessing when an hour has passed.
Alarm Challenge
Check out the pic above - at random points over the next couple of days, alarms will go off - when this happens, housemates from hell have to go and turn them off.
Sands of Time
Another challenge just for the housemates from hell - they simply have to keep a sand timer going, without letting it run out.
Archaeological Dig
Luke, Rebecca & Rex will be doing a dig in the garden, dating historical objects they find.
Clock Making
Maysoon and Stuart have to construct a giant pocket watch using bits provided by Big Brother.
As HoH, Dale isn't permitted to take part in any of the tasks.
Get the impression the housemates from hell have the rough end of this task? Not that it comes as a surprise..!!
Late on Monday night, Bex & Luke ended up splashing about in the swimming pool after throwing lager and water all over each other in the bedroom.
If today's tabloids are to be believed, Bex & Luke have also gone 'all the way'... which in tabloid terms means they were seen lying next to each other.
Check back here later to see who's nominated - rumours suggest it won't be these two, so we've got another week of their canoodling to look forward to. Hooray.
Housemates from hell get it pretty tough in the BB house, with fewer luxuries, less parties, and uncomfortable beds... but at least they get to nominate come Monday afternoon... don't they?
This week, Big Brother instructed the housemates from hell to chop up 65kg of onions - if they completed it to BB's satisfaction, they'd get to nominate!
So did they? Of course... giving Rex the chance to do his usual 'I don't wanna be here' Monday speech... before wrestling a crocodile...
Dale became the new HoH at the weekend, and his first task was to select who'd be living in Heaven & Hell for the week... so who's where?
Following Saturday's 'Bananagate' incidents, Big Brother forbid Dale from selecting Kat, Mo or Darnell from living in luxury - they were automatically sent to hell, and he had to select five of the remaining housemates to join him in heaven... they are: Stuart, Maysoon, Luke, Rex... and following a bit of suspense, Bex.
This means along with Kat, Mo & Darnell, Rachel will be in hell for the first time, and Lisa, Mikey & Sara remain there for a second week!
Housemates in hell got straight to cleaning the house, but although Mikey & Lisa sounded off about not being picked, there were other arguments happening - namely Dale & Darnell sounding off about each other, but then Dale & Mohamed had a massive barney... over a toothbrush!
Dangerously, BB laid on a party for the heavenly housemates on Sunday night - those in hell weren't invited, but thats not the problem with a BB party... this is:
Belinda, Belinda, Belinda's been evicted with 65% of the public vote.
Rex tried to make out he was gutted, by putting his head in his hands.
Then all the housemates were worrying as they heard boos in the crowd when she left. They reckon it'll be the same for everyone now, until they get down to the final 5.
As if cycling for hours and then losing out on the task because of the heavenly housemates wasn't enough, the housemates from hell have had to shovel around poo now!!
After a muck-spreading task, Big Brother called them to the diary room to tell them they've passed.
But who's going to benefit from the rewards this time? In Big Brother's words... 'All will be revealed'.
Uh oh, the housemates have failed their French task.
But it wasn't down to the guys on the bikes. They passed their bit! The heavenly lot failed to eat all of a 5 foot-long french baguette and couldn't identify a single wine.
Poor Luke thought he was forgotten about on his birthday.
But Darnell was called into the diary room and had to choose 2 housemates from hell (inlcuding Luke) and 2 from heaven, to celebrate his 21st birthday in the BB wine cellar.
He obviously chose Bex to get the party going, but instead of letting one of his heavenly angels in, he chose himself and Dale to go to the bash.
Rex was happy when Big Brother announced his name. He'd been pleading for himself to be nominated.
But they weren't expecting it to only be 2 housemates again this week, when Belinda was the second and last person to be announced. She apparently 'knew' she'd be up though.
The housemates in hell have been given the task to ride bikes for 30 hours, while they watched the heavenly lot eat Gallic delights and take part in wine tasting. Gutted!
Apparently it's the first time Belinda's ever ridden a bike as well, describing it as worse than childbirth!
We don't know for sure yet... but it looks like Rex and Belinda are up for the chop this week.
Poor Rex, we saw him tell Big Brother last night, that the show has only just started for him now that heaven and hell has broken out. So could it all end this week for him?
Or will Belinda Belinda Belinda's snoring have annoyed the viewers as much as it has the housemates?
The Big Brother housemates, who've ended up in 'heaven', are loving it!
They've watched the guys in 'hell' peel a mountain of potatoes and then they got the reward for it... which was a portion of fish and chips each, while hell's housemates watched them eat over the fence.
Rebecca didn't hang around though, she stormed off to tell Luke about it.
Just like the American version, Big Brother's introduced a Head of House. The housemates had to hold an election and Darnell won the crown, which means he's immune from this week's eviction.
It now means the house has been split into heaven and hell though. Darnell's first task was to choose 6 people to live in 'heaven' with him. They're Dale, Rex, Mohamed, Kathreya, Rachel and Maysoon.
They're the only ones who are allowed to use the luxury bedroom and bathroom and have use of the tokens, while the guys in 'hell' have to stay in B-block and use the shower outside.
Darnell said she wanted as much airtime as possible this week, and he was right - late on Thursday night, Bex finally made a move on Luke!
After a night of serious flirting, at about 4.20am this morning they were in bed together doing some proper pashing... but is it too little too late? Bex could be given the boot later...
Housemates received a mystery envelope from Big Brother on Thursday afternoon - at first, nobody was that keen on opening it (previous envelopes have sent housemates directly to jail), but eventually Stuart took the envelope... but was too scared to read it (the baby!), and let Dale read it out on his behalf!
"The bearer of this token must move into the other bedroom. You must swap beds with the housemate of your choice. You must remain there until further notice."
Obviously the residents of the luxury bedroom then wished they'd given the envelope to Belinda...
Don't get excited - it's the Australian BB house...
In Australia, viewing figures are plummeting for Big Brother - probably because it's on at 7pm, so you don't get any of the 'interesting' stuff - so Pamela Anderson has moved in for a few days... here she is in the diary room talking to Big Brother (who in Australia, sounds like a complete Psycho!)
Have a guess which three guys were having a good ol' gossip in the garden on Wednesday night...
Luke, Mario & Mikey were having a right bitch about Mo - simply because Mohamed was showing a bit of confidence during the earlier dancing task. What an ass! And Darnell didn't escape - apparantly, he's an 'idiot' for cheering when Mario and the drummers failed their section of the task. Happy house, happy house (within the set groups, obviously)
Let's be honest, the housemates were never gonna pass this one, were they?
For this week's shopping task, Big Brother had set housemates the task of learning Irish dancing... they performed their routine on Wednesday afternoon, and knew it was a failure almost immediately, but Big Brother made them wait for the official results...
Housemates were permitted a total of three fails. Those were used up during the drummers introduction. Then Big Brother admitted to 'losing count' of the number of further fails.
It means housemates will receive a basic shopping budget next week of just £1 per head...
Housemates have become accustomed to luxury food budgets recently, having won recent shopping tasks, but this week's might not be such a walk in the park - they have to learn a traditional Irish dance!
One housemate is choreographer (Dale), four housemates must take on the role of drummers (Belinda, Mikey, Mario & Luke), and trhe other 10 housemates must become dancers..
They spent most of Tuesday getting used to the steps, with Bex having more difficulty than others - it's for a luxury shopping budget, so there's a lot riding on this!
We've been waiting for a 'proper kiss' in the Big Brother house for 33 days now, and on Monday night, we finally got it... from Sara and Kathreya!
It was an odd night, with housemates all trying to fit in the bath at once, and everyone in Goth make-up - but it was later on in the pool when Rebecca kept on at Sara and Kat to snog, and let's be honest, anyone would give in if Bex was blaring on for too long...
It was nominations day on Monday - what better reason to have a moan about other housemates?
Mario was first up - he wasn't happy that the three new housemates (Belinda, Maysoon & Sara) couldn't be nominated. Even though that rule's been in place since the early days of Big Brother...
Then it was Luke's turn - Rachel's moved to 'B-Block' - Luke reckons it's simply to keep the people in there sweet, and to get the gossip from both sides of the house... nothing's ever straightforward with Luke, is it? Everything has to be a gameplan of some sort! Maybe she was just fed-up with Bex farting, or Belinda snoring?
Anyway, Luke's bored with the show now - he says if people want to keep people like Rachel in and get rid of the characters, then he's happy to be voted out.. not bovvered, apparantly...
On Saturday, Mikey was chatting to Luke about Belinda (and because Luke was involved, it was bound to be bitchy) - he said that if she kept him awake again with her snoring, she's "going"... once again a housemate makes their nomination intentions clear!
So on Sunday, Big Brother sent Mikey straight to jail. No passing go. No £200.
Will they ever learn?!?
Meanwhile, poor old Rachel heard some voices over the wall - other housemates would probably simply brush them off, but because the voices were chanting for somebody out (she couldn't make out who), she's now all worried...
Every Sunday, Big Brother gives housemates a task, usually for a token, and today was no exception.
Housemates had to fight their way out of a paper bag - the task took the form of a relay race, and consisted of three teams of five.
Big Brother provided compulsary outfits (which Rebecca was NOT happy with), and the three team captains were the new girls - Belinda, Maysoon & Sara.
Belinda had Rachel, Stuart, Darnell & Rebecca, Maysoon took Mario, Dale, Mohamed & Luke and Sara chose Rex, Lisa, Kat & Mikey.
Then it was time for the task itself - each team had a total of 20 minutes to get all members out of the paper bags, and the quickest to get all members out would get the reward.
Congratulations should go to (former body-builder) Lisa, who took a full TEN minutes to get out of her bag...
Following both Team Sara and Team Belinda breaking the rules, it was team Maysoon who managed to get all members out of their bags in the quickest time, and without any rule-breaking, so they were declared champions of the task...
With 89.7% of the public vote, Jennifer is the third housemate to be evicted from Big Brother 2008... but forget about her, it's time for some newcomers!
Belinda is a 44 year-old Theatre Director from Exeter
Maysoon is a 28 year-old model from Hertfordshire
Sara is a 27 year-old PA from London
Will they be a good addition to the group? Check back later to see how they're getting on...
We've been expecting a new housemate all week - and so have the housemates themselves - so tonight we get our wish... not once... not twice... but three times!
THREE new housemates will enter the Big Brother house during tonight's eviction shows - and they're all women!
A sexy PA, a forty-something theatre director and a model will walk through the doors later!
Rebecca helped herself to Mo's wine on Wednesday night, prompting Rex to ask her to get her breasts out again. Because she hadn't done it for a few minutes.
She didn't react well, laying into Rex with plenty of naughty words included.
Kat, being Kat, got all emotional and went off for a cry. Stuart and Rebecca were as sympathetic as ever, and Bex started laying into Kat... that Kat is nothing but trouble, eh?
Rex and Bex's argument rumbled on into the garden for a while longer, until they (kind of) made-up... Round 344 expected later!
Brilliant - the housemates get food again this week. And there we were hoping they'd starve for 7 days, but no - the BB Zoo task was passed... but only just!
The group were allowed two failures in total (each pairing of housemates could have as many failures as they liked, but overall, only two pairings could actually fail for the group).
Housemates mostly passed with flying colours - there were just a couple of failures... the rabbits (Mo & Darnell) incurred two fails between them, and the elephants (Luke & Mikey) got a ridiculous 146 fails!
Still, this put housemates in the mood for a food fight (seeing as they could now afford it) - Rebecca's not the cleanest of people, and she made sure others were just as filthy by instigating a food fight involving Jelly and Peanut Butter...
So, Tuesday was the hottest day of the year, with temperatures reaching over 30C in the Big Brother garden.
What better way to spend it than in an animal costume?
For this week's shopping task, housemates have a selection of animal-related tasks... Luke and Michael are taking the elephant memory challenge, Rex and Dale are boxing Kangaroos, Darnell and Mohamed will be carrot-eating Rabbits, Lisa and Stuart have the stamina challenge - standing on one leg as flamingos, Jennifer and Rebecca are seals, Rachel & Kathreya have to share a costume, as they'll be a two-headed llama, and Mario will be playing the role of zookeeper.
For two days, housemates will participate in animal-themed challenges - in total, no more than two pairs can fail the task... if they do, there'll be no luxury shopping budget next week!
Bex keeps banging on about everyone in the house being too nice, so on Monday, Mohamed helped her out by nabbing some of her tobacco!
She was looking for it all over the house, and Mo told her he'd thrown it away - turns out there had been some left, and Bex instantly lost her rag with Mo... revenge was on the cards...
A few weeks ago, it was Mohamed's birthday - Bex had made him a belt. As revenge for stealing her tobacco, she cut it up.
Bit petty, and Mo didn't really care, but at least she got rid of the 'niceness' in the house for a while...
Housemates spent the day speculating over the possibility of a new housemate - Dennis was removed on Friday, and Sylvia got the boot, so the numbers are down now... and when Big Brother gathered everyone together in the living room, the majority assumed someone new would be walking in...
There was no new housemate.
For no particular reason, Big Brother simply wanted to see the housemates air-guitar, and played loud rock music into the house for that very reason...
After a fairly stressful few days in the house, Big Brother decided to give housemates a task on Sunday to take their minds off arguing for a few hours - working in pairs, each housemates was blindfolded for three hours, giving them the chance to experience the house as Mikey does.
Mikey obviously needed a different role, and was in charge of assgining pairs, and assisting the group as a whole.
These were the pairings Mikey chose: Becky & Mario, Kathreya & Mohamed, Jennifer & Rex, Rachel & Dale, Stuart & Lisa and Luke & Darnell - some of those were not the most comfortable pairings, but thankfully everyone steered clear of any more 'Dennis' incidents...!
Housemates passed the task, so the mood was lifted further - it's an argument-free zone! (For now)
With 90.2% of the public vote, unsurprisingly, Sylvia was given the boot on Friday night (only Sezer from a few years back had a higher percentage - 91.6%)...
Not the most popular Big Brother housemate, Sylvia was greeted at the door by a chorus of boos - not a single cheer could be heard!
Dennis was removed from the house today for 'unacceptable behaviour' - here's the official statement from Channel 4...
Several housemates were involved in an argument late on Thursday night which resulted from a prank played by Rex that ended in a picture painted by Jennifer being slightly defaced.
During the argument Dennis spat in the face of fellow housemate, Mohamed.
Big Brother intervened immediately to break up the argument. The 'as live' streaming from the house on E4 was cut and no footage was broadcast.
All the housemates involved in the argument were sent to separate bedrooms and kept apart for the rest of the night. Dennis and Mohamed were called separately to the diary room in the early hours to discuss the incident.
After production staff and executives at Channel 4 reviewed the footage this morning, Dennis was called to the diary room a second time at 1:15pm and told he was immediately being removed from the house.
Following Dennis's removal, Big Brother continues to call to the diary room a number of other housemates to discuss their involvement in the argument and remind them of the rules governing housemates' behaviour.
A Channel 4 spokeswoman said: "Spitting in someone's face is seriously offensive and Mohamed was understandably upset. Big Brother has very clear rules about offensive behaviour. Like all housemates Dennis was clearly informed before entering the house that he faced eviction if he acted in an unacceptable manner."
Tonight's eviction vote, involving Mohamed and Sylvia, will proceed as planned.
Dennis told BB he 'really regretted' the incident, and was given the boot at lunchtime today... meanwhile, the other housemates are barely talking right now - although Rex apologised almost immediately after smudging Jen's painting last night (which started it all off), it wasn't until she'd been given a talking to by Big Brother this morning that Jen could say sorry for lashing out at him and Mo - and Dale still looks mad...!
Check out some video from moments after the 'spitting' here:
And here's Mario annoucing Dennis' departure to the rest of the house:
The most boring romance to ever hit the Big Brother house came to an end late on Thursday night - after talking it through with Mario, Lisa and Dennis, Jennifer took Dale to one side and let him know that there's no future for them.
He took it well, telling her she hadn't led him on and was a good friend - isn't this the guy that's supposed to be a stud who doesn't give a damn about women?
Must have been a different Dale on that audition video... yaaaawwwwwn!
This week's shopping arrived in the house on Thursday, and along with the food and drink ordered by housemates, there were a few extras...
Three record tokens valid until the end of the day - as with previous record tokens, Big Brother would be choosing the music played... turns out it's OK Go with 'Here it Goes Again' - does that band have shares in this series of BB?!?
There was also a get-out-of-jail-free card - Mohamed took this straight away - matches, additional beauty products, and a hula hoop!
There was also a large envelope - last week this sent the person who opened it straight to jail - but this week Darnell opened it to find a token for a romantic meal for two!
He wanted to choose both Sylvia and Mohamad, as they're up for eviction, but Big Brother would only let him take one guest, so he chose Sylvia.
Drinking champagne and eating super-posh spaghetti and meatballs, the pair had a good night - even singing Marvin Gaye to each other... eeewww...
This week's shopping task was for housemates to recreate the massively-YouTubed Ok Go video 'Here It Goes Again'...
Dale, Rex, Stuart & Sylvia made up the group, and easily won the house a luxury shopping budget - they only had just over 24 hours to learn the moves (Rex had even less than that after he replaced Rachel).
Take a look at their winning performance below!
Choreographer Dennis didn't get to see the final result played out, because he and Darnell were locked up for the day, after both were talking nominations late on Tuesday night... tut tut!
This week's shopping task is based on the famous music video for 'Here It Goes Again' by Ok Go - housemates have been given just over 24 hours to learn the moves from it... here's a reminder of the original vid...
Different roles have been allocated for each of the housemates - Rachel, Sylvia, Dale and Stuart will be peforming the routine, with Dennis (obviously) being the choreographer.
'Costume Stylist' is Jennifer, and 'Hair & Make-up Stylist' is Lisa.
Big Brother has setup eight treadmills in the task room for housemates to practice on, and they'll also have access to the Ok Go video to help them with the moves.
Housemates will perform the routine for Big Brother this evening, and if they can do it without making more than three mistakes, a luxury shopping budget is theirs...
Rachel hurt her finger while on the treadmill (!), so Big Brother asked housemates to select a replacement, should one be needed, and Rex was quick to offer.
Late last night, doctors confirmed Rachel would be unable to compete, so Rex will now be part of the performance...
Nominations took place in the house on Monday, and we'll find out the official news on who's up later today - but rumours are rife (as they usually are on a Tuesday) that Mohamed & Sylvia are facing the boot.
Both are rank outsiders to win the show, so there's a good chance BB will punish other housemates for talking about nominations/auditions (see below) and stick them up too... check back later to find out!
Every year, housemates talk about earlier auditions. Even though they're forbidden from doing so.
This year, Big Brother has a jail, and decided to punish the talkers by shoving them in it!
Dennis, Jennifer, Kathreya, Rebecca, Rex, Stuart and Sylvia were all asked to stand in the living area, while BB gave them a stern telling-off. They had one minute to decide between themselves which two of them should be punished with a spell in jail - turns out Dennis and Jennifer were the main culprits, so off they went!
Later on Monday night, Rex and Mohammed were breaking another rule - talking about nominations! They were openly chatting about who nominated who. And BB obviously hears everything, so they were then sent packing to jail too.
New boy Stu had a conversation with Jennifer on Sunday, telling her that, although he found Sylvia attractive, he thinks it's too early to have any kind of relationship in the house.
The fact that Sylvia is a complete mental might have something to do with it as well.
Anyway, Jennifer told Sylvia all about their chat, and she got a bit upset. Because in her head, they're married and stuff. Syliva and Stu had a chat to sort things out, and they were holding hands again later.
You can't have a series of Big Brother without a bit of Spin the Bottle action, and housemates obeyed this rule on Sunday night with a quick game...
It was all quite standard, with plenty of 'cheek-pecking' going on - mostly from Luke - until the bottle landed on Mario & Lisa, who went into full-snogathon-mode...
There's been a lot of fuss over hidden cookies over the past few days, and up until now Luke's kept his cool. But the secret-biscuit-addict finally lost his rag on Sunday afternoon when sixty custard creams vanished from the house.
Big Brother's Life Class was in session on Sunday afternoon - housemates had to either paint or sculpt newcomer Stuart... in the nude...
Stuart asked the housemates to be generous, although the painters probably only had enough paint to do his eyeshadow.
Seven housemates were to paint, while the other seven sculpted - Stuart was do decide the winner...
When Stuart revealed his favourite was Jennifer, most housemates applauded - it wasn't hard to tell which two housemates weren't happy with his decision... Sylvia & Dale didn't look especially happy about the result, put it that way...
Earlier tonight, Big Brother gave housemates the impression there would be a live eviction happening, but instead, they get a brand new housemate to play with!
It's Stuart! He's a 25 year-old Personal Trainer / Property Developer from Cheadle Hulme (near Manchester) - he's currently single, a ladies man, who's never been in love, and doesn't take himself too seriously.
On entering the house, he certainly caught Jennifer's eye - Dale had better watch out...
Alexandra is soooo yesterday's news - but we're still waiting to find out why she started banging on about gangsters and stuff, so she'll still get an interview with Davina on tonight's live show.
More importantly, BB bosses have decided that a new housemate is called for to replace Alex - housemates have been speculating since Alex got the boot about a replacement: Rebecca thinks they'll be Irish, and Luke has a feeling they'll be loud!
It was 15 days in, and Big Brother still hadn't made use of the tiny prison in the garden - not even for Alexandra!!
But that all changed on Thursday afternoon when the weekly shop arrived for housemates...
Along with the food, the store room also contained a teddy bear, some music tokens, a giant cookie and a large envelope - Rebecca went straight for the envelope, which contained a letter telling her to simply go straight to the jail in the garden.
She didn't go straight away, but then an angry sounding Big Brother bellowed through the house, telling her to go there straight away!
Whilst in there, Bex was desperate for the loo - after some persuasion from Dennis, she was allowed out for a quick toilet break... but she had to go straight back in afterwards.
Rebecca ended up being locked in jail for five hours, while the others all got glammed up - they won't be so quick to tear open blank envelopes in the future...
Call of the SAS Bodyguards booked in for Friday's eviction - there isn't gonna be one now!
We were told that Big Brother wouldn't be messing about this year when housemates broke the rules, and Alexandra has learnt this the hard way by being booted out of the house...
So far, Big Brother has just warned the London housemate about her behaviour, but on Tuesday night, she was talking to Darnell about her 'gangster contacts' on the outside world - "I've got a very, very, very, very, very strong team outside the house. - I just can't wait to see my mans and them and see what their plans are, who they got... I'm not talking about those mans, I'm talking about my gangster friends. They got some instructions to follow out."
Later on, she added "I get to go out, see everyone's friends, I get to see their family. I get to do the sh*t that I wanna do. Pow, pow, pow."
Other housemates thought she'd gone too far, and were starting to feel pretty threatened, and Alex was called to the diary room at 8pm on Wednesday night - she then left the house without further contact with the others, and they were told of the decision just after 9pm.
This means Mario's let off, and there'll be no live eviction tomorrow...
Whenever you hear a rumour about Big Brother, it's usually a good idea to assume the opposite - Tuesday was no exception, as there were rumours spreading that neither Alex or Mario were gonna face the public vote this week. Then the nominations were revealed...
Alex and Mario are facing the boot!
Big Brother spoke to the house on Tuesday evening (housemates are in costume for this week's task - see below), and after drawing it out for aaaaaggges, finally revealed the news Alexandra and Mario had been dreading.
You'd think they'd have been expecting it, but both were pretty quiet after the announcement, with Alex heading off for some quiet time in the bathroom, and Mario keeping to himself too.
Who goes? It's the two most hated housemates up against each other, so it could be close...
This week's shopping task is underway - housemates will be going all Japanese this week, with various tasks being given including Karate School, Endurance Karaoke, Chopstick challenge & Learning Japanese.
It all got a bit messy while housemates were trying to organise who'd do what, but one thing's for sure - female housemates must wear full Geisha at all times during the task (except in bed, obviously).
Providing there are no more than three fails incurred over the next couple of days, housemates will have something to eat next week!
They get revealed today - rumours are spreading that Alexandra & Mario won't be up!
Check back later to find out who's gonna be facing the boot this week...
You can't have a party in the Big Brother house without some kind of argument - and even though it was Mohamed's birthday, that didn't mean he could escape the wrath of Alex!
Mo was in the diary room, and some of what he was saying could be heard in the main house - He was a bit upset that Alex wasn't participating in the cross-dressing, and she hauled him up on his comments.
Nice-Alexandra only lasted until nominations then - there's a surprise!
It was the first round of nominations on Monday - but to cheer housemates up, Big Brother threw a birthday party in the evening for Mohamed... and BB wouldn't be BB without some drag-action!
This wasn't a problem for most of the male housemates - in fact, some of them seemed to prefer the women's attire than their own - but it was miserable Mario who didn't want to join in with the fun.
"I don't cross-dress in real-life, so why should he do it in here?" Was his opinion. It didn't take long for a change of heart - Mario became Mary!
The majority of boys kept the costumes and make-up on for the night, but Mario only stayed as a woman for a couple of hours...
It's the first set of nominations today - surely nobody will vote for Mohamed, as it's his birthday!
Alexandra & Mario are favourites to go up this week, but after all the 'chats' yesterday, who knows what'll happen...
The latest odds on winning from the bookies are showing Alexandra to be one of the most-hated housemates ever - she's 150/1 to win!
Here are the current five favourites:
Kathreya - 5/2
Luke - 9/2
Michael - 9/2
Rachel - 9/1
Dale - 10/1
After dinner on Sunday night, Dennis decided it was time to get things off his chest - specifically telling the likes of Mario and Alexandra what people thought of them. It was all very long and drawn out, but basically he's fed up of all the bitching behind backs...
Pot, kettle?
Anyway, afterwards, everyone had a good old moan about Dennis and his 'meeting'. Behind his back. Brilliant.
There's nothing better on a hot Sunday afternoon than spending it arranging crisps. And that's what the housemates have been doing today.
A giant bowl of crisps was left out - inside it were Ready Salted, Salt & Vinegar, Cheese & Onion and Worcester Sauce flavoured crisps - housemates had to lick crisps to determine their flavour, and then put them in one of the corresponding bags...
There was a two hour time limit set on the task, and housemates were allowed a 5% margin of error. Wouldn't have been a problem for the Salt & Vinegar and Ready Salted flavours, but they messed up on the Cheese & Onion, and were way out on Worcester Sauce - placing 21% of the overall crisps in the brown bag, when there were only 10% of them in total!
They're getting pretty good at failing tasks this year...
Housemates were given a new task on Saturday afternoon - for once, the birdsong that plays out during the live feed is actually a good thing, as they all have to learn how to play instruments..!
Each housemate was given an instrument, and together they had to learn how to perform 'When the Saints go Marching in'.
They weren't allowed to swap instruments with each other during the task, and they had just a few hours to practice until their performance that evening...
The bookies said Mario, we all hoped it would be Mario, but in keeping with BB tradition, the first housemate voted out by the public is a female (the first housemate booted out by the public in all previous eight seasons has been female)!
Stephanie is no more...
Incredibly, Steph got 48% of the final vote - Mario clearly had his fans!
Big Brother was in a generous mood on Thursday - when the housemates shopping arrived, they'd been given a bit of booze ('Moonshine'), and a record token, giving them a song of BB's choosing. This excited Dennis waaay too much. Then again, it doesn't take much.
Mario was probably hoping for 'Eye of the Tiger' again, but it was the Ting-Tings ' Thats Not My Name' that Big Brother chose, and housemates predictably got up on the tables and danced like idiots when it came on. They'd even dressed up for the occasion. Sweet.
Later, the housemates continued the party in the pool - although Dennis, Steph, Rebecca, Darnell, Rex and Dale were too noisy, and Big Brother ordered them out. Alexandra moaned about them making too much noise too, the party-pooper.
Thursday's are notoriously less eventful than other days in the BB house - simply because Channel 4 don't have as much time to show highlights on Fridays, what with evictions and whatnot - so a fair chunk of yesterday was spent compiling this week's shopping list!
After the task failure on Wednesday, each housemate has just £1 per day for the next week - and this means housemates have to weigh up the worth of getting tokens for luxuries (including hot water).
The tokens cost £1 each, and Stephanie actually wants one to be put towards hair straightners! Well, when you're up for eviction, who needs food?
Wednesday evening, and time for Alexandra to moan about the 'lack of respect' in the BB house. Again.
On Tuesday, somebody took one of her cigarettes, then later Rex and Mohamed both used her lighter without getting permission first. Yikes! It's the end of the world!
Remember Dennis & Rachel won the switch task on Tuesday, and didn't bother to eat their picnic reward, because they thought it was another part of the task (doh!)? Well on Wednesday afternoon it was finally time for part 2 of the persistance task! Buzz!
They were given a giant two-handed wand by Big Brother, and a giant wire track was set-up around the house - they then had to navigate the wand around it without the wand and wire touching. Problem - the other housemates had been rigged up to the wire, so that every time the wand touched it, the housemates got a shock!
In order to get the house a luxury shopping budget, Dennis & Rachel were only permitted three fails and they had a strict time limit - as they didn't even manage to complete the course in time, they'd clearly failed, and it'll be basic rations for the rest of the week.
Of course - being Big Brother - this led to several rows around the house, including Mohamed & Sylvia and Rex & Alexandra having spats.
Housemates put on their own talent show on Tuesday night, calling it 'BBs Got Talent' (see what they've done there?) - featuring Dale as Simon Cowell, Jennifer was Amanda Holden, and Stephanie was Sharon Osbourne. No room for Piers here!
Luke was hosting, and the other housemates took it in turns to impress the judges with their acts...
Rachel & Mohamed did a very bad rendition of Romeo & Juliet and Sylvia & Dennis were the 'Booty Shaking Babbas'... (probably using ridiculous American accents...)
Earlier, Jen asked Mario what he thought of her Cheeky Girl outfit she was wearing for her talent act with Steph, and he said she looked like a 'tart'. He's a nice man, isn't he?
Tuesday's task was all about persistance - using special outfits, housemates had to keep a light switch above their heads in the 'off' position...
Sounds easy? You'd think it'd be a doddle for a few minutes at least, but within a few seconds of the task starting, both Stephanie & Luke's lights had flashed, and they were eliminated...
The housemates were whittled down one by one, and eventually - after 1 hour 55 minutes - the two winners were crowned, Dennis & Rachel!
They picked up a special picnic from Big Brother, which they were instructed to enjoy, alone, in the garden...
Nice. But Dennis & Rachel thought the other housemates might miss out on a food budget if they ate the food provided. So they didn't. Turns out it was a treat, so they could have had the lot... fools.
Monday afternoon was a good afternoon for live feed action - housemates (especially the girls) stripped down for a day of relaxing in the sun... but it wasn't long before the bitching returned...
Things went downhill later, when Mario & Lisa shared an intimate dinner in the diary room to celebrate Mario's 57th birthday.
Afterwards, Mario had a good ol' moan to Mikey about Dennis and Steph, who hadn't even wished him a happy birthday.
Stephanie had herself said she didn't want to appear false by being nice to Mario, because she simply doesn't like him...
But hang on - Alexandra hasn't maoned about anything yet! Oh yes she has - Rebecca cooked the housemates dinner yesterday evening, but the chips weren't up to Alexandra's liking.
So she kicked off a bit.
And that meant Sylvia had to join in.
Another typically surreal BB-argument... coming soon: Cheese related spats, Crisp arguments, Lettuce whining, Tap water moaning (you get the picture)...
They never stood much of a chance, did they?
(See the story below for more details regarding the task failure)
The question now is - who goes? Nobody wants to be first out, and it's between the four involved on the secret mission...
Let's take a look at each of them...
Lisa - she's been fairly quiet (or should that be jealous?) during the task... but does she deserve to stick around for another week?
Luke - bit of a legend, and in the bookies top three to win the show... but is he too geeky for the house?
Mario - an idiot, yes. Entertaining? The jury's out - likely to annoy other housemates in the future, which could be good telly...
Stephanie - not the greatest player in the first task, but then again, can you blame her? Should she should be rewarded for having to pretend to be Mario's lover, or punished for doing it badly?
Whoever gets the most votes from the public this week will be out the door on Friday night!
I often wonder if some housemates enter Big Brother simply to have a haircut - this year is no exception, with Mohamed's aftro making an early exit from the house yesterday, courtesy of Sylvia...
After a lot of 'will they, won't they' discussions in the house, Mario & Stephanie finally got married earlier today - and even though the majority of the house didn't believe they were a real couple, they went along with it anyway...
Task passed, then? No...
There was one more twist to come - Big Brother announced to the house that there was a secret couple within the group, and housemates had one minute to guess who it was!
Unsurprisingly, the housemates correctly guessed it was Mario & Lisa who were the real couple, so that puts Lisa, Luke, Mario & Stephanie up for eviction this week.
Being woken by wedding bells probably wasn't the way Steph imagined day 4 in the Big Brother house, but that's what happened this morning - the old 'pillow over the head' routine doesn't work, love...
It's not been the happiest of mornings for the not-so-happiest of couples - Mario & Stephanie have been bickering a fair bit... it's just hit Steph that later on today she'll be married to this man. You can kinda sympathise with her!
Ahead of today's big wedding, there had to be Stag & Hen night parties. Therefore, there had to be booze. Therefore, there had to be trouble...
Sylvia wasn't happy when she found out Mikey was wearing her knickers (although they were OVER his bunny outfit) - this divided the house for a while, but later it was just Sylvia having a bitch about Mikey & Mario to anybody who'd listen...
Rebecca irritated some of the other housemates when she got sloshed, sharing a bottle of champagne with Lisa. (They seemed to put up with her constantly screaming on launch night, so surely they could cop with this?)
Meanwhile, Stephanie's chosen her hens - they are Kathreya, Lisa, Rachel & Rebecca.
It's not uncommon for housemates to stay up late on the first few nights of Big Brother, but Cwmbran lovely Rachel set a new record this year - she simply didn't go to bed at all!
Since entering the house on Thursday night, it wasn't until the early hours of Saturday morning that she finally made her way to bed...
To keep their secret task going, Mario popped the question to Stephanie on Friday afternoon - in the pool - and of course, with everyone gathered round to see!
Big Brother had provided an engagement ring... and she said yes! Surprise!
However, just a short while earlier, Stephanie had been moaning about Mario to Alexandra, saying that she needed a bit more space in the house... not the smartest move, but she wants people to really believe that they're a real couple, so why not?
How kind of Big Brother - they've even photoshopped some pics of the happy couple!
The 'wedding' will take place on Sunday - all housemates (including the four in on the secret task) will be under the impression it's for real... will they bottle it?
They mustn't - late on Friday night, Alexandra, Rex, Dale, Darnell, Sylvia & Jennifer were starting to have doubts - they've even started to think it may be part of a task... oops!
Remember, if the other housemates work out what's going on, the four task members will face eviction next Friday - but if they don't, everyone else will be on the chopping block!
Here are the odds after the first few hours - bear in mind this'll probably change later. A million times!
7/1 Michael
7/1 Kathreya
9/1 Luke
10/1 Darnell
11/1 Rachel
14/1 Dale
16/1 Rex
17/1 Mohamed
17/1 Mario
22/1 Stephanie
27/1 Dennis
31/1 Jennifer
39/1 Sylvia
43/1 Lisa
47/1 Rebecca
59/1 Alexandra
Housemates have been given their first five tokens for 'luxuries' - Mohamad went to the diary room to collect them, and these will be used for items like an hour's use of the hair dryer, hair straightners, or even hot water...
Meanwhile, the world's most believable couple, Mario & Stephanie, had their first argument - Steph thinks that other housemates who have just met look closer than they are - and they're supposed to be in a relationship! I'm sure Mario won't have any problems adjusting...
Oddly, it was Steph who decided not to sleep in the same bed as Mario, because she was worried 'what her dad might think'... if that worrys her, she should have never gone into the house!
First in the house was real-life couple Mario & Lisa - think you've seen Mario before?
You probably have - he was on Ant & Dec's 'Saturday Night Takeaway' on their hidden camera section of the show...
He was filmed throughout the week, as people approached him asking for Matt Le Blanc autographs!
Mario, Lisa, Luke & Stephanie were the first four housemates to enter the new BB house, and as soon as they were in, they were all called to the diary room for a secret task!
So Mario & Lisa are the first ever couple to hit the hosue going in - but they've now got to keep that under wraps - in fact, as part of the task, Mario & Stephanie have to pretend to be a couple for all the other housemates.
If the four of them can keep this secret, and the rest of the housemates fall for it, then they'll be saved from the public vote next week!
If not, they'll be up for the chop...
Oh yeah, and Mario & Stephanie will be getting married this weekend. And they'll think it's for real. He's a lucky boy...
Hate it or love it, there's no escaping Big Brother - it's back on Channel 4 tonight, and this is where I'll bring you the latest goss, rumours and pics from the house!
If you wanna get the lowdown on this years housemates, click here - when they've been revealed, you can learn their names and stuff!
It looks like there'll be 16 housemates this year - and they may well all now enter at the launch, so expect a LOT of bird-song during the first few weeks of live feed action...
e4 won't be scrapping it's usual programmes this year to make way for near constant 24 hour coverage of the house - if you want to see the live feed, satellite and cable viewers will need to use the red button... (Sky viewers: see above for a quicker way of getting to the live feed!)
BBUK bosses have been paying close attention to the last few US series, so expect bigger and better challenges, and maybe even the introduction of a 'head of household' - someone who has more control over the house, and is immune from eviction whilst holding the title...
The public are expected to play a bigger part this year - not just evicting housemates, but setting tasks and deciding rewards too...
And here are the rumours regarding this year's housemates - these usually turn out to be a load of nonsense, but we'll see... - One housemate does stand-up comedy - One housemate has been deported from America - One housemate is a DJ - One housemate is a Buddhist - One housemate is Muslim - One housemate wears a watch worth £13,000 - Three housemates have children - Three housemates were born outside the UK - One housemate has appeared in a film with Hugh Grant - One housemate has had a breast enlargement - One housemate has never watched Big Brother - The oldest housemate is 42
Davina's confirmed she will be back to host this year's series - in fact, she said that she's no intention of going anywhere... so as long as the series continues, so will Davina!
Now that Dermot's left for good (boo-hoo!), his Little Brother replacements will be George Lamb and Zezi Ifor. You may have seen them doing stuff on T4. We haven't. Anyway, they've promised to move away from Dermot's 'slapstick' style of the show, and make Little Brother a bit more 'cool' and 'credible'... here they are, look:
Other news - as you can see from the pics, the new kitchen is small, the first bedroom is uncomfortable, and the bathroom is completely open-plan - plus, there's a large window from the living area through to the bathroom, so there really is no getting away from each other this Summer!
The diary room will be much more private this year, as there's a seperate corridor leading to it from the living area - there's also a second, more luxurious bedroom, and a prison in the garden! There won't be secret rooms this year, but as with Celebrity Hijack earlier this year, there is a task room, which will be constantly changing throughout the series...
